Mohamed Rachid Foundation for Cultural and Social Development
The late esteemed economist Mohamed Rashid founded the institution in 1994, believing in the important and vital role of business people in developing society and nation.
Mohamed Rashid was born in the city of Alexandria in May 1923. He received his basic education at College Saint Marc up to the secondary level, then obtained a Bachelor of Law from the Faculty of Law in Paris in 1947. He also earned a diploma in Economic and Financial Sciences from Paris.
May he rest in peace, Mohamed Rachid had a significant impact on the economy of his country. He also had a special interest in the visual arts, and due to his deep passion for this field, he earned the title 'Patron of the Art Movement' in Alexandria.

Al-Nahda Charity Complex
The Al-Nahda area is a remote region that includes 27 villages suffering from a severe shortage of basic services. Therefore, it was chosen to establish a project aimed at connecting this rural area with urban areas and providing the villages with their basic service needs. The institution has also contributed to reducing the problem of unemployment and lowering the high illiteracy rates, due to the impact of these factors on development. This project was established with the aim of promoting cultural and social development in the area
